What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facility Paymaster position at C C State Supported Living Center?
Under the direction of the Financial Officer, performs routine or entry-level accounting work to ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll adjustments and salary overpayment recoupments for State Supported Living Center employees. Coordinates with various units within the agency and external to the agency to resolve any discrepancies identified. Coordinates with supervisory personnel to identify salary overpayments and initiate the process for the collection and return of funds to the State Treasury. Work involves preparing and / or overseeing the preparation of financial analyses and reports. Communicates with Department employees and supervisory personnel concerning various payroll related issues. Work is performed under general direction with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement within the limits of applicable state and federal laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
Salary Range : $2,953.25 - $4,365.66
Initial Screening Criteria :
Experience in accounting and financial operations.
Graduation from a standard senior high school supplemented by college coursework in accounting is generally preferred.
