We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Agent to join our team. Duties
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with company goals.
- Procure materials and supplies necessary for production while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
- Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms.
- Monitor market trends to identify potential supply chain risks and opportunities.
- Manage logistics related to the transportation of goods, ensuring timely delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels using systems such as Edwards or other e-commerce platforms.
- Coordinate with production planning teams to forecast material requirements based on demand.
- Conduct regular evaluations of supplier performance to ensure quality standards are met.
Experience
- Proven experience in supply chain management or materials management is preferred.
- Familiarity with procurement processes and inventory management systems.
- Strong understanding of logistics and production planning principles.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in managing purchase orders and contracts.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
