Overview
The Loan Servicing Associate will have routine external customer contact and increased task level and role(s). Job functions will have moderate regulatory and reputational risk. This position is responsible for booking closed loans into the system while verifying accuracy; update the system to reflect renewals, perform system changes to loan information, and resolve posting issues. Additional tasks include monitoring various reports and balancing various general ledger accounts.
Responsibilities
Loan Booking and Loan Maintenance 60%
§ Review loan approval document and compare against note for accuracy
§ Compare disbursement documents to activation ticket prior to booking
§ Work with loan processors to clarify or correct any inconsistent information between approval memo and executed loan documents.
§ Book originated loans onto Navigator system and verify accuracy of input
§ Update system to reflect loan renewals or other changes to loan terms
§ Facilitate advances and payments on builder lines using TMS system
§ Perform address/port changes, payment corrections, and payment reversals
§ Order coupon books and equity line checks
Administrative and Quality Control 35%
· Answer incoming calls and correspondence from internal and external customers with loan or servicing related questions
· Investigate and resolve payment/posting issues
· Complete Non-Post report on a routine basis
· Ensure impacted booking general ledger accounts are reviewed each day
· Process loan payments received in the mail
§ Reconcile department transactions via front counter capture system
· Review various reports to include Unusual Interest Rates, Non-Activated, Cash-Secured, and EOD (Employee, Officer, and Director) report
Projects 5%
§ Take lead on comprehensive projects that primarily impact Loan Servicing and Credit Services
§ Analyze the issue(s) and solicits feedback from impacted staff before making recommendation to Credit Services management
§ Take responsibility for implementing and communicating changes to team and creates outline for any needed changes to action steps, procedures, or policy
Qualifications
Knowledge: One year of banking experience, preferably in loan servicing, loan documentation, or loan origination.
Skills: Demonstrated analytical skills; demonstrated proficiency in the use of standard and specialized computer hardware and software packages such as Microsoft Office; demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.
Abilities: Attention to detail with the ability to use available resources to solve problems and follow regulations. Highly organized with the ability to manage daily priorities and deadlines while also having the flexibility to assist with higher priority customer service situations.
Education: A combination of education, training, and work experience is considered.
Travel:Occasional local travel for meetings.

Employee may experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time: view computer monitors, keyboarding, sitting, motion of fingers/hands/wrists, and standing/walking.
Work Environment: Work is performed in an operational office environment.
