We’re expanding our team and looking for a Senior CNC Machinist / Programmer who takes pride in craftsmanship, thrives in a fast-paced shop environment, and wants to be part of rebuilding American manufacturing capacity.
Role Overview:
This role will lead hands-on machining and programming across a variety of production environments — from tight-turnaround R&D parts to steady long-run production. You'll be working in a clean, professional shop environment committed to precision and continuous improvement.
Core Responsibilities:
· • Program, set up, and operate 3-axis CNC Mills
· • Program, set up, and operate 3-axis CNC Lathes (Fanuc controller experience required)
· • Lead machining projects ranging from fast-turn prototype parts (1-2 day setups) to long-run production work
· • Manage part workflows from raw stock to finished inspection
· • Prioritize and execute quick-turn jobs — many parts will need to be completed in under a week to meet customer delivery schedules
· • Optimize speeds, feeds, tooling, and setups for efficiency and repeatability
· • Collaborate with quoting and engineering for manufacturability feedback
· • Perform in-process inspection to ensure critical tolerance compliance
· • Maintain clean and organized workspaces with attention to detail
· • Operate with a sense of urgency while maintaining quality craftsmanship
Qualifications:
· • 3 years of CNC machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment
· • Strong experience programming and operating 3-axis mills and 3-axis lathes with Fanuc controls
· • Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and GD&T
· • Proven ability to work independently and lead jobs from start to finish
· • Familiarity with inspection tools and best practices
· • Strong problem-solving skills and commitment to craftsmanship
Preferred (but not required):
· • Experience working in aerospace, defense, medical, or semiconductor manufacturing environments
· • Exposure to ISO 9001 / CMMC shop environments
· • Willingness to mentor junior machinists over time
