SUMMARY
Acts as assistant to the Human Resources Manager by performing the following duties.

Employment:
- Perform all functions associated with hiring and terminating employees; ie., internal postings, orientations,
preparation and completion of paperwork

- Coordinates benefit enrollments with outside vendors
Clerical:
- Assists in planning and coordination of company functions, programs, and services; i.e., wellness events,
CPR/first aid classes, eye screenings, Christmas party and summer picnic
- Performs clerical, secretarial and administrative functions for the Human Resources Manager
- Backup for switchboard
Training:
- Enrolls employees in internal and external training
- Host classroom training as deemed necessary by internal procedures
- Assist w/data entry of employee training records into ERP system
SKILLS:
Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common professional journals, corporate procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
Ability to communicate with internal and external customers and vendors in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Must be able to function with large degree of independent judgment.
Must be able to interact with employees for proper functioning within scope of responsibility.
Must be able to operate standard office equipment.
Should be proficient with word processing and spreadsheets.
Must maintain strict confidentiality.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand; walk; and use hands and fingers to operate keyboard and typewriter. The employee must occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
