HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST
Our client, PHB, Inc., is a family-owned manufacturing company headquartered in Fairview, PA. PHB is a highly automated and technologically advanced manufacturer with capabilities consisting of zinc and aluminum die casting, machining, tool & die, and product assembly, servicing many markets including appliance, automotive, telecommunications, electronics, electrical equipment, transportation, industrial equipment, and defense industries. The Company has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Generalist to join their team. Reporting to the Director of HR, the HR Generalist is responsible for the administration of a wide array of Human Resource responsibilities, including, but not limited to recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, performance management, workplace policies, and safety.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Developing and placing job ads as needed, interviewing candidates, composing job offers for employment.
- Facilitating new hire orientations and overseeing the onboarding process.
- Facilitating benefit enrollments, terminations, revisions, with knowledge of eligibility guidelines; assisting employees with issue resolution related to benefits and insurance claims.
- Overseeing HRIS system, including entering new hires, terminations, and status changes, ensuring accurate information for all employees.
- Overseeing attendance, including tracking and monitoring for conformance.
- Facilitating employee training, including scheduling, tracking, and documenting for compliance.
- Developing and maintaining job descriptions for all positions
- Creating and enforcing workplace policies and procedures.
- Overseeing Workers’ Compensation, including submitting and administering claims, and communicating with injured employee and insurance adjuster, as required.
- Overseeing OSHA, including recording and reporting of injuries, and annual summary posting and online submittal.
- Managing Safety Team, including serving as Committee Chair, scheduling safety walks and safety training.
- Managing Government Reports, including completing EEO1, VETS, Occupational Labor, and Affirmative Action.
- Assisting with scheduling and planning employee and company activities, as required.
- Supporting Director of HR and Company Leadership, as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of Associate degree in Human Resources, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in Human resources, preferably in a Manufacturing environment.
