Basic Function
The Parts Sales Advisor generates sales-focused solutions by delivering expert-level Customer Support. This includes building trust-based customer relationships, proactively generating new sales opportunities, and expertly communicating. The Advisor actively collaborates with a broad team including Managers of Parts, Service, and Inventory, as well as other Sales Advisors, Warehouse Specialists, and Technicians to ensure service delivery and enhanced customer satisfaction. The position emphasizes strategic account management, continuous learning, and team collaboration to drive sales performance and meet customer needs efficiently.
Critical Roles
1. Provide Frontline Customer Support for All Part Sales Opportunities
- Advise and Assist Customers: Work with customers to identify their needs, advise on the best solutions, and assist in the sourcing and ordering of necessary parts.
- Utilization of Tools and Resources: Leverage tools such as John Deere Parts Advisor and various parts portals to accurately locate and order parts.
- Sales and Follow-Up: Generate and follow up on customer quotes, and communicate about order statuses, ensuring a proactive approach to customer service.
2. Performance Targets
- Sales Goals: Meet or exceed monthly sales targets by actively promoting and selling through Aftermarket promotions and leveraging all sales opportunities.
- Customer Engagement: Maintain ongoing customer engagement, including follow-ups to assess satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
- Proactive Sales Alignment: Proactively generate parts sales opportunities with assigned customer account lists to leverage Best Buy programs, promotions, vendor relationships, and all other means to drive increasing sales performance. After-Sale follow up will take place 1-2 weeks following parts sales.
Additional Information
- The Parts Advisor will be expected to maintain a clean and organized work environment and manage accurate customer account information.
- Continuous performance reviews will be conducted to ensure alignment with department and company goals.
