C.L. Smith Industrial Company is family owned and operated since 1977 and specializes in providing wear solutions for heavy industrial applications. We are looking for a Purchasing and Accounting Clerk.
Job Duties include:
Purchasing
- Source suppliers based on price, availability and logistic expense.
- Evaluate inventory levels and place orders as needed.
- Contact suppliers to confirm pricing, terms and delivery schedule.
- Manage purchase orders once issued to ensure timely delivery
- Maintain accurate information on purchase order in Epicor.
- Work with QC to resolve any quality issues with the suppliers.
- Maintain supplier accounts.
Accounts Payable
- Process and reconcile invoices.
- Charge expenses to correct GL accounts.
- Monitor discount opportunities with suppliers and process timely.
- Resolve issues with purchase orders, invoices and payment discrepancies.
Accounts Receivable
- Maintain precise records of all incoming payments.
- Reconcile any irregularities in receipts.
- Prepare and send invoices to customers.
- Assist customers with billing related issues.
- Contact customers to ensure timely payments.
- Prepare bank deposits.
- Maintain customer accounts.

Qualifications
- 2-4 years accounting experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Attention to details and organizational skills
- Work independently and manage multiple tasks at one time
- Epicor ERP system a plus but not necessary
- Subject to a drug and background test
Salary : $50,000 - $55,000
