Our client’s Nashville office seeks a Legal Assistant to support their Construction Practice Group. This role involves providing comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to attorneys, managing legal documents and correspondence, and ensuring deadlines and key dates are met. Responsibilities include maintaining client files, managing attorney calendars, coordinating travel arrangements, processing client billing, handling expense reports, and assisting with business development and CLE compliance. The Legal Assistant will also prepare engagement letters, conflict checks, and waiver documents, and handle routine client interactions.
Candidates must have at least three years of experience as a legal assistant in a law firm, with transactional experience preferred—experience in construction law is ideal. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat is required, along with familiarity with document management systems like NetDocs. Excellent communication, proofreading, and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain discretion with sensitive information.
