Our client in Columbus, Ohio is seeking a litigation paralegal to work primarily with litigation attorneys on business and regulatory disputes, with occasional involvement in environmental, real estate, and corporate matters. The essential duties include drafting legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, and interrogatories, while also filing them per judicial procedures. The paralegal will assist attorneys in managing case files and maintaining document databases, as well as conducting research on statutes, regulations, legal articles, and judicial decisions to provide written analysis. Additionally, the role involves facilitating routine communications with clients and third parties and aiding in trial preparation by preparing trial exhibits, witness lists, and coordinating court logistics. Candidates must possess at least an associate degree, with a preference for those holding a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program.
