Summary
Our After School Group Leaders are responsible for creating a fun, safe environment for our school age children. You will be responsible for setting a positive tone in the classroom, developing meaningful relationships with the children and families, and preparing fun, challenging, educational activities. We are looking for dependable, responsible staff members to help our child grow to be the best they can be!
The After School Enrichment Program runs Monday-Friday 2:00pm-6:00pm.
We do provide care on non-school days during the school year 7:30am-6:00pm.
Summer camp is also offered Monday-Friday 7:30am-6:00pm from June through August.

Duties
- Assure safe arrival to the classrooms, and properly check each child in.
- Serve snack/meals as needed.
- Plan, prepare, and facilitate educational activities based on the interests of the children.
- Create a classroom routine that provides for the needs of the children.
- Closely supervise children and monitor behavior.
- Develop relationships with children and families.
- Communicate often with parents, keeping them updated on behavior and upcoming events.
- Keep up with all record keeping and documentation as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years old and have a High School diploma/GED.
- Must pass the North Carolina background check and receive a qualification letter.
- Must have a current physical and negative TB test.
- Must have CPR/First Aid training, or obtain within first 8 weeks of hire.
- Must be willing to complete other trainings required by the State of North Carolina.
- Must share the vision of COSKids as an outreach to the community.
- Must espouse Christian values and display love and concern for children and their families.
- Must be able to properly supervise groups of children.
Nice To Haves
- Previous childcare experience.
- Previous experience planning and facilitating activities in groups.
