Position Overview
We are seeking an Onsite Construction Manager to oversee general construction projects in the Buffalo/Niagara County region. The onsite Construction Manager is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and oversight of projects.
Position Responsibilities
- Must have a working knowledge of Project Engineering/Construction, as well as company guidelines, procedures, and goals.
- Strong communication and client services skills are required for this position.
- The ability to review reports for upper management regarding status of the project, contract documents and construction services is also preferred.
- Oversee and manage day-to-day operations of site activities for projects or assist on projects that are more complex.
- Plan, organize and direct activities of the project to minimize the impact on the owner’s operations and staff
- Coordinate activities between contractors onsite, resolve contractor coordination disputes
- Review installation of contractors work for conformance with drawings and specifications
- Maintain an accurate project record, including a daily log of all project related activities and communications.
- Review payment applications for acceptance of completed work
- Review change orders for validation of additional scope
- Work with design team to resolve contractor’s questions or field conditions
- Maintain an updated set of drawings and specifications
- Assist in the preparation of project status reports.
- Develop, monitor and track project deficiencies, including punch lists
- Develop project schedules and short interval schedules
- Assist in the management of the project budget
- Assist in the completion of pre-construction activities such as project phasing, scheduling, cost estimating, etc.
- Develops and maintains relationships with clients, potential clients, subcontractors and vendors to help develop new opportunities.
Skills/Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering Discipline
- Associates degree with 10 years of trade level experience in a Supervisory or Project Engineer Role as an alternative to a Bachelor’s Degree.
- Understanding of construction / engineering practices
- Use of Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Excel and Word
- Use of Project Management and Scheduling Software
Estimated Compensation Range and Benefits
$93,000 - $115,000/year*
*Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.

Salary : $93,000 - $115,000
