The Department of Neurology has an exciting opportunity available to join the Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IOM) team. In this role, you will lead a talented group of IOM Technologists and work collaboratively with our IOM vendor in our hybrid staffing model. - Manages a team of IOM Technologists with daily schedules and PTO requests
- Run daily huddles, run staff meetings, manage case assignments/boarding, assist with billing, coordinate supply orders, and upkeep with clinical protocols
- Lead and coordinate trainings with staff to assure professional growth
- Collaborate effective strategies with the Medical Director, the Senior Manager, and the Clinical Associate Professor
- Fulfill front-end operations and throughput with IOM Clinic Coordinator
- Interrelate with the customers to make sure their needs are being seen (patient, OR staff, anesthesia, surgeon, etc.)
- Coordinate and work collaboratively with IOM vendor
- Coordinate and work collaboratively with IOM/ Kinesiology students
- Help CNIMs implement appropriate troubleshooting methods to assure accurate recording of information
- Help integrate new techniques and new technologies with staff and faculty
- Maintain continuing education requirements with staff and personal certification(s)
- Responsible for maintenance of staff?s skills and competencies
- Help with the clinical assessment of the CNIMs for employee evaluations
- Management duties include interviewing, selecting, and training of employees
- Work with Compensation and Human resources to assure equity is maintained throughout the staff
- Hold responsibilities to hire, fire, or promote assigned employees or make recommendations that improve the program
Senior
- Minimum 3 years of supervision experience as a Lead IOM Administrator
- Masters degree is preferred (MHA, MBA, or ABNM) or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 1 years of supervision experience as a Lead IOM Administrator
- A Bachelors degree in basic science coursework or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Certification by the American Board of Registration for Electroencephalographic Technologist as a CNIM
- Skilled in all types of intraoperative neurophysiological testing is necessary
