Receiving Clerk (Perishable)

Position Overview

As a Receiving Clerk, you will work with external truck drivers and keep records of incoming shipments. Keep our communities fed. Our focus is simple but meaningful, from our distribution centers to our offices — every employee of C&S and their family

of companies works to help feed local families, neighbors, and communities. As an Inbound Receiving Clerk, you’ll become a part of this mission by helping to keep records of incoming shipments & inspecting for quality. You’ll make a

difference by utilizing your strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping skills to get the job done.

Job Description

Earn $19 per hour

• 1st Shift
• 3300 N.W. 123rd St. Miami, FL
  
  

You will contribute by:

• Greeting incoming outside truck drivers and directing to proper unloading bay
• Entering purchase order receipts into computer system and printing receiving tags for use by Receivers - Contacting carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instructions for delivery of materials - Conferring and corresponding with customers, vendors and others to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and non-conformance to specifications
• Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels

Your work environment may include:

• Perishable (Refrigerated) – about 28°- 60°
  
  

We’re searching for candidates with:

• At least six months of warehouse experience
• Electric Pallet Jack experience preferred
• Strong planning and execution skills
• Ability to work with and through others to achieve desired results
• Strong team orientation and collaboration to work effectively in a team environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with people at all levels in the organization - Ability and willingness to follow all safety policies and procedures
