Reports to : Preconstruction Manager

Job Responsibilities Include :
1)Continuously improve estimating process and systems
2)Maintain current database of subs, vendors, common materials, and pricing
3)Collaborate with operations team to grow our subcontractor base
4)Attend weekly estimating meetings with management to discuss upcoming bids and previously submitted proposals
5)Attend pre-bid meetings and gather necessary information required to develop a cost estimate and proposal
6)Communicate with association managers and or engineers to clarify the scope of work to be priced
7)Perform quantity takeoffs utilizing clear and consistent spreadsheets
8)Obtain multiple material, equipment and subcontractor quotes in an effort to find the best value for the best price
9)Assemble project cost estimates utilizing estimating spreadsheet templates
10)Input project specific production rates and crew sizes into the estimate and check them against rates and unit costs from previous estimates and completed projects
11)Write cover letters and assemble proposal presentations based on scope of work, client relationships and project specific requirements
12)Submit proposals based on the bid requirement or owner request and follow up promptly to ensure the correct scope has been priced and all questions are answered
13)Attend association board meetings as necessary to present proposals and clearly explain work scopes in an effort to sell projects
14)Manage time and communicate workloads with Precon Manager to ensure deadlines are met
15)Collaborate with project managers, project admin, owners, subcontractors, and consultants to organize and execute project administrative documents as directed
