C-TEC of Licking County Postsecondary Center is hiring a Public Safety Coordinator.
Description: The Public Safety Coordinator serves as the Program Director of Paramedic program CoAEMSP accreditation and the Ohio Department of Public Safety Division of EMS EMS training program director ensuring compliance with all standards and regulations. This role involves providing leadership and oversight for Public Safety programs, including professional firefighting and public safety dispatcher. The coordinator will develop, manage, and promote Public Safety programming to meet community needs, recruit and evaluate staff, and maintain active partnerships with relevant industry and community stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
· Oversee compliance with CoAEMSP accreditation standards and maintain required documentation.
· Oversee compliance with ODPS Division of EMS requirements for EMS and fire training programs.
· Develop, coordinate, and align course curricula with industry credentials, focusing on EMS programs.
· Identify and implement programs that address community and industry needs in Public Safety.
· Recruit, supervise, and evaluate staff with appropriate certifications to instruct designated programs.
· Maintain all required records of students, staff, expenditures, and program performance per state, federal, and accrediting body regulations.
· Prepare reports for oversight and accrediting agencies, including the Board of Education.
· Promote student recruitment and retention through marketing strategies and public relations efforts.
· Build and sustain professional partnerships with community organizations, industry leaders, and other stakeholders.
· Develop and manage operational budgets in collaboration with the Director of Adult Workforce Development.
· Maintain instructional supplies, materials, and equipment for Public Safety programs.
· Ensure all program areas adhere to safety and quality standards.
· Maintain an active Advisory Council for Public Safety programs.
· Stay informed of emerging trends in Public Safety and EMS education to ensure program relevance.

Education and/or Experience:
· Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
· Certification as a Paramedic and FESI II instructor.
· Experience in Public Safety, EMS education, or related fields.
· Supervisory and administrative experience preferred.
General Knowledge and Skills:
· Familiarity with CoAEMSP accreditation standards and processes.
· Familiarity with ODPS EMS and fire training program standards and processes
· Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
· Knowledge of adult learning principles and educational methodologies.
· Leadership and facilitation skills.
· Proficiency with computers and related software applications.
· Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple priorities.
Language Skills:
· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional and technical documents.
· Competence in writing clear, concise reports and correspondence.
· Strong presentation skills for diverse audiences, including staff, students, and stakeholders.
Physical Demands:
· Ability to perform essential job functions, including standing, walking, and using hands for tasks.
· Occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty-five pounds.
· Vision requirements include depth perception and the ability to see at a distance.
Work Environment:
· Work duties are typically performed in an office or classroom setting.
· Occasional travel required to meet with stakeholders or attend events.

Pay: $76,081.00 - $103,470.00 per year
