Key Responsibilities:
This position entails performing tasks such as layout and fabrication of new and replacement piping systems, installation of valves and related equipment, and rigging and lifting of tools and parts according to established policies. The technician must have a solid understanding of blueprint reading, be able to draw and interpret isometric diagrams, and possess certification in B31.3 Pipe Welding Code for carbon and stainless steel. Additionally, the technician will perform tack-welds and welds components using various welding processes, operate machinery like plasma cutters and pipe threading machines, and inspect welded surfaces for quality and conformance to specifications.
