Our Center of Hope Coordinator ensures that victims of sexual assault are actively treated in a quiet, compassionate and non-traumatic way. It’s the chance to support people with counseling, legal and medical aid. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Professional Development Opportunities Faith-based, Mission-focused Organization Collaborate with the Medical Director, the area Centers of Hope, Law Enforcement, Advocacy, Rape Crisis Centers and Prosecutors and with the community at large. Provide Consult to Medical Providers and Professional Staff (RNs, SANEs, and NPs). Maintain a clean and safe work environment by handling and clearing instruments, equipment, and supplies in accordance with infection-control policies and protocols. Administer and store medication according to controlled substance regulations. Seek grant funding, implement projects and manage grant funding to sustain and further develop the Center of Hope. Conduct or participate in community outreaching, including community partners such as Law Enforcement, Advocacy, coalitions, and other SATCs, promoting the image of the hospital and increasing awareness for services. Perform peer review and maintain confidential patient information. Provide Court Testimony. Identify and coordinate resources to meet the acute (Medical, Emotional and Legal) needs of the victim of sexual assault, domestic or other interpersonal violence. Develop policies to ensure best practices are implemented to promote patient safety.
