WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Recommend and oversee community nutrition education programs. Assist with developing consistent policies and procedures for food production and Quality Assurance program to conform to all state, local, and HFAP requirements. Maintain high standards in quality of food and supplies procurement, production, service and economical use of labor, food and supplies. Oversee capital/operating budget and ensures adherence to approved budgets for the region. Continuously analyze departmental procedures to reduce costs and/or improve quality and/or efficiency. Oversee and lead the Nutritional Service management staff to meet quality standards for all services, attain established financial targets, and promote continuous improvement in quality and consistency. Assure that management staff is responsible for the physical condition, sanitation, and infection control measures to meet or surpass standards established by HFAP and the Indiana State Board of health. Provide leadership in identifying the best practices in staffing, supply management and purchased services. As such practices are identified, leadership is also demonstrated in working with the other regional managers in the implementation of these best practices resulting in reduced expenses and/or improved outcomes. Lead the facility Directors/Managers in providing quality food and nutrition services to patients, families, visitors, and employees. Oversee staffing schedules to provide volume-based staffing and satisfies the needs of the customer.
