WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Supervises assigned staff within the Department and manages the performance of individuals through ongoing coaching, feedback and development to motivate, engage and drive a high performing team. Assists in developing and planning menus and meals services for all areas of responsibility including, but not limited to, Meals on Wheels, daycares, and co-ops, as required. Acts for Director in his/her absence and debriefs Director. Assists with the development and management of departmental budgets, including making budget allocations, approving expenditures and ensuring expenses are within budget. Assist in orientations and training of new employees. Makes decisions for direct reports and performs people management activities such as performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, staff planning, and interviews. Serves as the administrator for the diet office software responsible for maintaining functionality of the program and the nutrition care portion and other technologies used by the department, as required.
