Job Description Summary The Jiang Lab at the Medical University of South Carolina aims to understand the role of microbiome, inflammation, pathogenic autoantibody, and B cell dysfunction in human disease immunopathogenesis, HIV and SLE. The staff scientist will conduct HIV and SLE projects in the lab, train the lab members, and help run the lab. Support for lab safety applications. Conduct immunologic and molecular biologic experiments in human studies and collect and analyze data (30%) Assays such as qPCR, flow cytometry, ELISA. Report research results to PI every week Staff scientists and postdoc need to analyze data, prepare manuscripts, and present work at conferences. Refine and standardize existing experimental procedures and train new lab members.
