Job Description Summary The Clinical Outreach Coordinator reports to the Director of Governmental and Community Outreach but will be provided onsite advisement and oversight by the Director of Grants and Sponsored Programs. This care team member plays a critical role in spearheading community activations. The role is responsible for the development, execution and maintenance of a tactical clinical outreach plan for the Office of Community Engagement that addresses the specific healthcare needs of diverse communities across the state of South Carolina. This role may require the coordinator to travel to community sites in all 46 counties throughout South Carolina but will have primary responsibility for MUSC Health Orangeburg/Calhoun service and surrounding areas. The work schedule for this position requires flexibility in hours that will involve primarily days but will also include some evening, weekend and/or overnight stays to meet the needs of the communities served. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Exceptional organizational and time management abilities. Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and healthcare software. Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards. Passion for community health, health disparities, and addressing the unique needs of diverse communities.
