HSEQ Manager
Position Overview: The HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality) Regional Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the company's HSEQ policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. This role involves overseeing all aspects of health, safety, environmental sustainability, and quality management systems within the regional organization (North America).
This role is based in the Houston office (Energy corridor) with travel to various projects sites 10-15 days / per month.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and continually improve HSEQ policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
2. Provide leadership and direction in promoting a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and quality excellence throughout the organization.
3. Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards, evaluate risks, and ensure compliance with HSEQ standards.
4. Establish and maintain effective HSEQ training programs to educate employees on safe work practices, environmental protection, and quality management systems.
5. Investigate incidents, accidents, near misses, and non-conformities, and develop corrective and preventive actions to address root causes and mitigate future occurrences.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement sustainable solutions and best practices that enhance HSEQ performance and drive continuous improvement.
7. Monitor and analyze HSEQ performance metrics and trends, and prepare reports for management review to support data-driven decision-making.
8. Liaise with regulatory agencies, external auditors, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal requirements and maintain certifications/accreditations.
9. Stay abreast of emerging HSEQ trends, technologies, and best practices, and recommend innovative strategies for enhancing organizational resilience and sustainability.
10. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior management on HSEQ matters, providing expert guidance and recommendations to achieve strategic objectives while minimizing risks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or equivalent credentials.
- Proven experience (12 years) in a similar role, with demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing HSEQ management systems in a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of relevant HSEQ regulations, standards, and best practices (e.g., OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 9001).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques to interpret complex HSEQ data and identify improvement opportunities.
- Results-oriented, proactive, and adaptable with a commitment to driving a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and quality excellence.
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to travel to various company sites or external locations for meetings, audits, or training sessions.
- Flexibility to work outside normal business hours in response to emergencies or critical incidents, as needed.

Pay: $160,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
