Position is located in the Fresno office.
The Field Operations Division (FOD) is seeking a motivated leader to join the Fresno and Bakersfield Offices as the Office Administrator. The Office Administrator plans organizes, and oversees the sales and use tax program in the Fresno and Bakersfield offices by working with and through first and second level supervisors.
Under the general guidance of the Deputy Director of FOD, the Administrator fosters cooperation and integrates functions between audit and compliance team members. The Administrator is responsible for various audit, compliance, and administrative functions in the office, including auditing, receptions, interviewing, registration of taxpayers, cashiering, account maintenance, advisory services, collection of unpaid taxes, and other administrative activities relative to enforcing applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
The Administrator must have the ability to organize for success; understand how to facilitate functional needs to achieve strategic goals; be able to make decisions and be accountable for those decisions; cooperate, lead, motivate the team to achieve CDTFA's mission and FOD's goals; identify, define, and facilitate the resolution of the needs of CDFTA, FOD and the Fresno and Bakersfield offices.
The position requires travel up to fifteen percent (15%), which may include overnight.
Under Government Code 14200, this position may be eligible for part-time telework for eligible candidates residing in California.
