Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Analyze legal spend and operational data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Generate dashboards and reports for legal department KPIs.
- Provide insights into matter management, timekeeping, and billing trends.
Process Optimization
- Assess and streamline workflows to improve productivity and reduce bottlenecks.
- Support implementation of best practices in contract management, litigation, and compliance.
- Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in legal operations.
Technology Management
- Evaluate and implement legal tech solutions, such as e-billing systems, contract lifecycle management tools, and matter management platforms.
- Act as a liaison between the legal team and IT to ensure systems meet business needs.
- Provide training and support for legal technology tools.
Budget and Vendor Management
- Assist in managing legal department budgets and forecasting.
- Analyze vendor performance and ensure compliance with preferred vendor programs.
- Negotiate contracts with external legal service providers.
Project Management
- Lead or participate in cross-functional projects to improve the legal department's effectiveness.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to align legal operations with broader business objectives.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Business, Law, or related field (Master s degree or certifications like PMP a plus).
- Experience in legal operations or a similar role.
- Expertise in advanced Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
