Working Conditions
The employee's work is to be performed within an office environment and is equipped with standard or ergonomic office equipment, as needed. Attend meetings in designated conference rooms and be willing to travel to off-site locations.
This position may be eligible for telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and based on the CSAC's current telework policy. While the CSAC supports telework, in-person attendance may be required based on operational needs. Employees are expected to be able to report to their worksite with minimal notification if an urgent need arises, as determined by the Department. The selected candidate may be required to conduct business travel on behalf of the Department or commute to the headquartered location. Business travel reimbursements considers and employee's designated Headquarters Location, primary residence, and may be subject to California Department of Human Resources regulations or applicable bargaining unit contract provisions. All commute expenses to the headquartered location will be the responsibility of the selected candidate.

Position Details
Department Information
The Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) supports CSAC in the delivery of State services and information to internal and external stakeholders through IT service management using the IT Infrastructure Library framework. CSAC operates in an Oracle-based database environment and develops and maintains a cloud-based application that is used by students, colleges, and CSAC staff (also known as the “Grant Delivery System Modernization” project or “GDSM”).

1. Please provide a detailed description of your work experience and knowledge which demonstrates your ability to provide technical application support and administration that includes the following technology groupings:

2. Describe the most difficult technical problem you encountered. What was the situation and how did you handle it? Please include which technologies you use, description of the supported environment and level of complexity (low, med, high), service level expectations, and achievements.

Desirable Qualifications
- Extensive experience and a proven track record of planning, architecting, and developing applications as a lead full-stack developer. Proficiency in modern application technologies such as JavaScript, Angular, HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, WS02 Identity management, API’s, Oracle PL/SQL, GitHub, JAVA, Spring Boot framework, etc.
- Deep knowledge of Agile/Scrum practices. You are very familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies, ensuring adherence to Scrum practices and adapting to changing project requirements, managing project boards, removing impediments, and facilitating and enforcing code review processes to help the team deliver high-quality software.
- Broad experience in software development projects involving Angular, Oracle technologies, using Java, and Application Programming Interface (API) in GitHub.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) process to lead the team to improve and mature the process.
- Motivated, team player, self-starter, creative thinker with a positive attitude individual.
