As a Sr. Associate II (AKA Professional Account Manager) supporting Alcon's Vision Care fieild sales , you will be trusted to consult with ECPs to generate demand and consideration for Alcon products/services through B2B and B2B2C business discussions, use of scientific/promotional materials and use of beneficial programs. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Opportunity Identification, Planning, and Prioritization: develop structured territory plans using sales data, market insights, and through collaboration with leadership to target call plans for territory account base and grow sales
  • Selling: use a consultative sales approach to align Alcon products with customer needs. Provide product and technical consultation, while promoting Vision Care/Dry Eye Ocular Health (DEOH) products.
  • Conferences/CE: collaborate on regional/local conferences and customer engagement, and conduct/manage CE events in the territory.
  • Execution: implement plans from opportunity identification to implementation. Follow up to maximize sales and patient benefits. Create and implement strategic plans and daily call schedules.
  • Customer Relations: Network with customers at conventions and educational events. Develop and maintain customer relationships by responding to customer requests within 24 hours, and other matters within a timely manner.
  • Administration: complete administrative tasks timely, including expense reports and call reporting.
  • Development: contribute to area sales and marketing opportunities. Participate in meetings and manage professional development.

 

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent college diploma
  • Minimum 1-5 years sales experience; experience selling in Optical field preferred
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong overall business understanding with proven analytical ability, organizational, and negotiating skills
  • Strong business acumen in Health Sciences, preferably optometric arena.
  • Experience in Business to Business (B2B) selling environment
  • Strong relationship-building skills, leadership skills, marketing skills, financial understanding.
  • Computer literacy in MS Office environment and experience with a computerized sales administration system
  • This role includes extensive time in the field with customers (3 – 5 days per week) and monthly overnight travel. 
  • Candidate must reside in or closely surrounding the Ottawa area of Ontario, Canada.
