What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sign Company - General Labor / Production Assistant position at CAB Signs?
We’re looking for a General Labor / Production Assistant to support our production and shipping operations. This is a hands-on, physical role that requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to move around throughout the day. You’ll assist in packaging and shipping signs, receiving deliveries, and supporting production tasks across the shop. The starting schedule will be Monday - friday 11 AM to 5:30 PM.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with shipping, packaging, and labeling orders
- Receive and log incoming materials and deliveries
- Help in general production tasks as needed (mounting, cleaning, prepping materials)
- Perform quality checks on finished products before shipping
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe
- Work closely with team members to meet deadlines and production goals
Requirements:
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- Comfortable being on your feet and moving throughout the day
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Nice to Have (Not Required):
- Experience in a sign shop or production environment
- Knowledge of signs, printing, or graphic design software like Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW
