Hours: 8:00 - 5:00 Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week

The Processing Assistant is responsible for preparing, maintaining and receiving records, logs, and files. The PA will schedule appointments and enter data for the Clinical Services Division.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Interview patients to obtain medical, financial, and personal data
  • Maintain all records and file pertaining to unit or program activities
  • Verification of insurance for Clinical Services Division
  • Collect payments from patients while following financial policies and procedures
  • Data entry specific to Clinical Services programs
  • Ensure confidentiality of data

Education/Experience: Graduation from high school or equivalent. Clerical experience in a healthcare setting required. Bilingual in English and Spanish required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • Thorough knowledge of standard office practices, procedures, equipment and office assistance techniques
  • Knowledge of business English, spelling, and arithmetic
  • Ability to follow and apply policies and procedures
  • Possess ability to make arithmetical calculations and set up forms and statistical tables
  • Must be able to type at a reasonable rate of speed
