Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for our ECCC Radiation Oncology Unit. We are looking for a dynamic professional who values customer service and want to be part of a team.
The Registered Nurse is accountable for using the nursing process, delegating patient care tasks, coordinating the care for patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated. The primary purpose of the Registered Nurse is to provide quality care and support to the cancer patient and assist the Physician in all aspects of patient care in Radiation Therapy.
This position is for a professional who values customer service and wants to be part of a team. The nurse will work directly with the radiation oncologists, another RN and patient care assistants. The position is responsible for using appropriate Cerner related workflows/processes, delegate patient care tasks as needed and coordinate IP and OP radiation treatments with other members of the healthcare team as needed.
Position reports directly to the Manager of Radiation Oncology. The shift will be determined by each hiring manager. The pay rate will be determined in accordance with the labor agreement.
Requirements:- AS/Diploma/Regency Degree required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Current RN license in WV required.
- Maintains CEUs for licensure.
- Must maintain CPR.
- Specialty certification preferred.
- 1 year of Oncology experience required.
- Previous work in radiation therapy preferred.
