General Summary

The CNC Lead Operator is responsible for the daily functions and output of the CNC machinery. Duties include directing operators, job setup, job run, process monitoring, job completion and troubleshooting in the creation of wood cabinet components.

Primary Responsibilities

• Setup and run jobs on state-of-the art equipment.
• Assist in resolving problems and delays.
• Provide support, direction, and training for operators across all shifts.
• Work safely and ensure all operators do as well.
• Mentor and motivate operators ensuring productivity standards are met.
• Monitor machinery for any issues during production.
• Troubleshoot and resolve CNC issues to ensure minimal downtime.
• Adapt to changing work demands, delays or unexpected events.
• Complete required paperwork regarding processed jobs.
• Perform basic machine maintenance.
• Use precision measuring instruments.
• Move materials using forklift.
• Attend meetings as scheduled.
• Other duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience with CNC equipment operation and troubleshooting required
• Proven leadership and interpersonal skills
• Safety minded
• Skilled at troubleshooting issues with a sense of urgency
• Must be responsible, dependable, honest, and ethical
• Ability to communicate effectively with operators and leadership
• Focused attention on detail and quality of products
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Team player with a positive attitude
