PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Will be responsible for material flow through the department
Provide leadership, along with the Supervisor, in running the department safely and effectively
Carry out instructions/directions of the supervisor whether verbal or written
Conduct quality checks throughout the department and complying with quality standards
Be proficient in set-up operations of machinery in the department
Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed
Use Oracle software system to ensure proper recording of material flow
Provide training to new and existing employees
Ensure productivity targets are met
Trouble shoot machine issues and provide guidance on machine setups
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
One year of production experience or similar in carpentry or fast paced, detail-oriented environment is preferred
Three years of progressively responsible work experience (prior lead experience is preferred)
Knowledge of safe work practices
High School diploma or GED preferred
Ability to train others on safety, quality, performance, job responsibilities
Ability to read/write/communicate in English
Ability to lead/motivate/work in a team environment
