Key Responsibilities
- Account Management and Growth:
- Lead and manage a portfolio of high-profile, strategic national accounts to achieve revenue, retention, and profitability goals.
- Develop and implement tailored strategies to maximize account potential, ensuring long-term customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Identify new business opportunities within existing national accounts and pursue opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Create and execute strategic account plans that align with the company’s broader business objectives.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to refine account strategies and deliver value-added solutions.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure that strategic initiatives align with overall company direction.
- Client Relationship Building:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within national and strategic accounts.
- Act as the primary point of contact for top-tier clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly and effectively.
- Serve as an advocate for clients within the company to ensure delivery of high-quality products and services.
- Sales Leadership and Team Development:
- Mentor and lead a team of account managers, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Develop and execute training programs to enhance the team’s sales skills, product knowledge, and relationship-building capabilities.
- Set clear sales targets and KPIs for the team and provide regular performance feedback.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing, product, operations, and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery and alignment of strategic objectives.
- Participate in product development discussions and provide insights based on client feedback and market needs.
- Sales Reporting and Forecasting:
- Develop and present regular sales forecasts, reports, and performance analysis to senior leadership.
- Track and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of sales strategies and adjust tactics as needed.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date CRM documentation and reporting for all strategic and national accounts.
- Experience:
- 10 years of experience in sales, account management, or business development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing strategic and national accounts.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large, complex accounts and delivering results.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics, industry trends, and competitive intelligence.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Skills and Abilities:
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to develop and implement complex account strategies with a focus on long-term success.
- Expertise in CRM software, sales forecasting, and data analysis tools.
