IT Technician

Job Summary
Cable Associates is seeking an IT Manager Specialist that will provide IT technical support for Cable Associates. Main focus on overseeing the day-to-day operations of the IT department, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, including hardware, software, and networking systems. Monitoring network activity, security, setting up and maintaining new and existing PC’s. This position requires knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Windows Server, Email Administration and LAN/WAN Networking. In addition, this role will support our IT cable assembly production and testing various ethernet and network cabling assemblies.

Qualifications

• Great customer service and communication skills.
• Able to setup new and existing PCs on internal network.
• Perform and monitor local and remote network drive backups. Preserve assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.
• Maintain and update internal software, Fishbowl, QuickBooks, Webroot, MS Windows, MS Access, etc.
• Familiar with networks, security, VPN, Untangled, video surveillance, door badge security, MS Teams, Windows Server and Email Administration.
• Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule
• Identify computer or network equipment shortages and provide solutions as Cable Associates expands.
• Requires minimum lifting ability of 30 pounds; may require heavy lifting of 50 pounds with assistance of team members and/or equipment
• 2 years’ experience in desktop hardware and PC application support within a networking environment.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Familiar with setting up VPN remote work access to network.
• Knowledge of PC printer setup, maintenance and repairs.
• Certification as IT Technician will be an advantage (e.g. CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified IT Professional)
• Bachler Degree in MIS, IT, Computer Science or equivalent 5 years work experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.31 - $23.44 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
