Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Paralegal to join our Legal Department. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a fast-paced legal environment, with a strong focus on litigation support. This role will involve a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to, assisting with discovery, managing case files, and coordinating with outside counsel.
Key Responsibilities:
Litigation Support: Assist in all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and appeals.
- Conduct legal research and analysis as directed by attorneys.
- Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence.
- Assist in the preparation of witnesses and exhibits for depositions, hearings, and trials.
Discovery: Manage all aspects of the discovery process, including:
- Issuing and responding to requests for production of documents.
- Collecting, reviewing, and organizing electronic and paper documents.
- Preparing for and attending depositions.
- Maintaining accurate and organized discovery logs.
Case Management: Maintain detailed case files, including electronic and paper records.
- Track deadlines, court dates, and other important case information.
- Coordinate with outside counsel and adjusters on case strategy and progress.
Insurance Experience: Possess a strong understanding of insurance principles and procedures.
- Experience in handling insurance-related litigation is highly preferred.
Other Duties as Assigned: Perform other duties as assigned by the General Counsel, including administrative support tasks.
Qualifications:
Education: Associate's Degree in Paralegal Studies or equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of paralegal experience in a litigation environment.
Insurance Experience: Proven experience working within the insurance industry is essential.
Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), legal research
databases, and case management software.

Salary : $55,000 - $65,000
