Job Summary
CableCom is seeking a seasoned Permitting Supervisor to manage our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of local municipal codes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with municipalities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Permit Coordinators and Contractors daily activities
- Act as a subject matter expert on local municipal codes
- Maintain effective relationships with municipalities to ensure regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with permit agencies to secure necessary permits for construction projects
- Work closely with construction management to develop permit schedules aligned with project timelines
- Communicate government entity requirements to internal teams
- Monitor and track pending and open permits for timely processing
- Approve daily permitting timesheets
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Authorized to work in the United States for CableCom
- Minimum two years of experience in permitting
- Previous supervisory experience is advantageous
- Valid driver's license is mandatory
- Knowledge of aerial and underground utility construction practices is essential
- Understanding of MUTCD traffic control permitting requirements
