This role is exempt classification, full time and can prepare employees for other internal roles if qualified.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Business Development: set up meetings with prospective clients to learn about their needs/concerns. Work to develop relationships and create awareness of company offerings.
- Follow up with assigned accounts on a regular basis to ensure customer satisfaction. Hold Business review as needed (Quarterly, Semi-Annually).
- Be proactive by contacting multiple new prospects daily.
- Have a solid understanding of who the customer is and all the different ways CM can support them.
- Interacts with existing and potential customers via phone and e-mail to qualify sales leads and sell products and services.
- Creates and presents quotations to customers emphasizing value-added features and explaining the benefits of selecting our product.
- Follow-up with customers on quotations to help obtain orders, discuss objections that may prevent the placement of orders, and offer alternate options if need.
- Review purchase orders for proper part number, quantity, pricing, customer request date, terms and coordinate special review with engineering or operations as needed.
- Responsible for meeting or exceeding monthly/quarterly/yearly sales targets and goals.
- Possesses thorough knowledge of all products, processes, and policies to support and exceed customer requirements.
- Works with cross-functional internal teams (Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing) to provide product demos to qualified customers on request.
- Other Duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 4 years of related experience in manufacturing, industrial or engineering sales.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with internal and external customers at all levels of the organization providing courteous, timely and accurate information.
- Preferred to have analytical competencies and technical aptitude with respect to the wire and cable industry.
- Time management and organization skills are required with the ability to handle multiple tasks and to prioritize situations requiring urgent attention is critical.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel. Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
