OVERVIEW
Cache County invites qualified applicants to apply for an Office Specialist to support our Public Works Department. The Office Specialist will perform a variety of administrative, technical, and clerical duties as needed or assigned to expedite the day-to-day department operations. The Office Specialist generally works Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Office Specialist is a full-time, benefitted position. The hourly wage for this position starts at $20.33.
Available benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance on the first day of employment, retirement contributions, bereavement leave, and 14 paid holidays. Full-time employees also receive 18 days of personal leave in the first year of employment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Office Specialist duties include providing first-level contact with visitors and callers by providing information and directing them in the correct processes; providing initial responses to questions, complaints, or problems following established communications and information-sharing policies, practices, or procedures. Maintaining various department personnel records, including driver's license status and emergency contact information. Processing payments into department financial accounts and managing and assisting with processes related to general revenues and expenditures of the department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from high school or GED; AND 2 years of experience in general office practices including administrative, technical, and clerical duties OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
