Job Description:
The Opportunity:
CACI's Mastodon Design team is seeking a talented student for an Electrical Engineering co-op opportunity for Summer and Fall 2025. This will be a 100% on-site position in the Rochester, NY office. This team specializes in designing and building hardware and software. They focus on offering devices that can be fielded immediately to meet the mission needs that lie directly ahead. Size, weight, power, and packaging are of paramount importance in everything they design and build.
Responsibilities:
- Provide crucial support to our production team, resolving board issues and optimizing performance
- Tackle the challenge of obsolete component replacement, ensuring our designs stay current and innovative
- Sharpen your analytical skills by comparing intricate drawings and schematics to Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Get hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs)
- Engage in board-level analysis and repairs, applying your theoretical knowledge to real-world problems
Qualifications:
Required:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field
- Current status as a Rising Junior or Senior
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Demonstrate an understanding of electrical components
- Ability to decipher and interpret electrical schematics
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills
Desired:
- Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership and teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred, but not required
