What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Specialist position at CACI?
The Opportunity:
As a CACI-SOAS (Special Operations and Asymmetric Solutions) Logistics Specialist in the Joint Navigation Warfare Center (JNWC) you will help empower the Department of Defense’s navigation warfare (NAVWAR) mission ensuring positioning, navigation and timing superiority. You will serve a s a member of a team providing combatant commanders and joint force commanders with subject matter expertise on planning and conducting NAVWAR by providing knowledge of friendly and enemy NAVWAR order of battle and PNT-related successes and threats. You will serve as the senior logistics expert and advise the Program Manager on contractual logistics matters.
Responsibilities:
- You will develop a program‐wide logistical strategic plan to provide guidance, coordination, and planning resources to subordinate logisticians.
- You will partner with the Customer Support, Transportation, Procurement, and eCommerce teams to plan and prioritize logistics activities.
- You will assist with the resolution of any service issues related to logistics operations. You will review new customer guides to ensure all shipping requirements are identified and can be met.
- You will partner with teams to develop standard operating procedures for each customer. You will coordinate and track equipment, property, and supply shipments.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Current interim secret with a pathway to SCI.
- Five years of relevant experience, including prior Government or Military logistics experience.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong attention to detail.
Desired:
- A bachelor’s degree in business, operations, systems engineering, supply chain management or a related field.
- Ability to work independently with limited government oversight and function effectively as part of a team in a joint working environment.
