What are the responsibilities and job description for the Master Scheduler position at CACI?
CACI is currently looking for a Master Scheduler to develop and maintain a resource loaded schedule supporting a large network modernization effort for the US Army. The candidate will work closely with a team of network engineers, cybersecurity engineers, ARMY personnel, CACI leadership, and various other groups within the program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate has extensive experience working with complex resource-loaded Integrated Master Schedules (IMS). In this role, they will provide support in the areas of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and IMS development, maintenance, as well as reporting schedule status to the customer and CACI leadership.
Skills and Knowledge:
- The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, while utilizing expertise in support of multiple (often simultaneous) complex work assignments, which may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to efficiently accomplish tasks and deliverables within directed deadlines.
- The candidate must have a strong scheduling background, preferably with experience supporting large/complex programs, and strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- The candidate must be able to compile and analyze technical reports to develop and status the IMS, and to assist technical leads in logically planning/scheduling requirements.
- The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all assigned work activities are performed in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining the highest quality of performance.
- Expert with MS Project
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently with limited to no guidance
- Attention to detail and resourcefulness
You’ll Bring These Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- College degree (B.A. / B.S.) with 7 years of relevant experience
- Associate degree with 9 years of relevant experience
- High School degree with 11 years of relevant experience
Serve as the Master Scheduler who will be responsible for:
- Development and maintenance of a fully resource loaded schedule for a large ARMY modernization project.
- Working with project leadership and engineering team to;
- Define tasks, milestones, and deliverables.
- Determine resourcing needs and deconflict resource constraints/conflicts.
- Determine task dependencies and schedule logic.
- Determine and track the project’s critical path.
- Report and brief schedule updates/status to CACI leadership and Government Stakeholders.
- Develop scheduling status reports, digests, and summaries for various meetings and/or for customer deliverables.
- Develop and maintain schedule artifacts and other program documentation.
- Interact daily with technical leads, CACI leadership, and client personnel by providing schedule status data.
- Support additional projects within CACI (Potential).
Desired:
- Experience with Earned Value Management
- Experience working on Army IT Modernization projects
