Job Description:
The Opportunity:
The OMIS-A (Operational Medicine Information Systems – Army) team is looking for a Software Tester with a background in soft ware test and evaluation to work on a Web application and legacy systems. These systems provide reliable data transfers between domains for general users and programs. Ideal candidates will have 3 years of software test experience with a focus of regression testing, test automation and test development.
Responsibilities:
Software Testers are expected to have technical acumen, to be highly self-directed and motivated, and collaborate respectfully with their teammates, always keeping user mission first.
Verification and validation of soft ware and hardware products.
Design, implement, and conducts test and evaluation procedures.
Identify system and soft ware problems, record defects and reporting the results of testing.
Develop and maintain robust automated test suites using industry standard frameworks to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Design, implement, and execute automated test scripts for API, UI and performance testing, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines for continuous monitoring.
Execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for integration, functional, regression and user acceptance testing.
Create new test plans, test cases, and update existing tests while working with developers test ng new soft ware as it is completed.
Qualifications:
Required
Ability to obtain and maintain minimally a Secret clearance.
3 years related work experience in software testing.
Experience with functional testing, integration testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing.
Ability to create test plans, test procedures, and problem reports.
Ability to create automated test scripts.
Organized and capable of updating test plans and cases based on problem reports and customer feedback.
Experience using Jira, Confluence, and Azure DevOps.
Comfortable working with Linux and windows operating systems.
Proficient in writing complex SQL queries for data validation and test setup, ensuring data integrity throughout the testing process.
Self-starter who likes working in a team environment
Solid interpersonal as well as excellent oral and written communication skills
Desired
Experience with Agile soft ware development methodology.
Bachelors in computer science or related disciplines.
Experience debugging unit test issues
Experience programming in C#
