Job Title: Production Planner / Scheduler

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Planner / Scheduler to manage production scheduling, material planning, and production control to ensure on-time delivery to our customers. This role will be responsible for reviewing customer orders, identifying raw material requirements and timing, developing production schedules, and driving execution to plan. The ideal candidate will have experience in production planning, material requirements planning (MRP), and manufacturing scheduling within an aerospace or precision machining environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Review customer orders and forecasts to determine production requirements and lead times.

· Identify raw material needs and procurement timing to support manufacturing schedules.

· Develop, maintain, and optimize production schedules to ensure on-time delivery.

· Work closely with purchasing, engineering, and production teams to align material availability with production needs.

· Drive production control activities, monitoring work-in-progress and resolving scheduling conflicts to meet customer commitments.

· Utilize the E2 ERP system to manage planning, scheduling, and work order tracking.

· Identify potential capacity constraints and collaborate with operations to adjust resources as needed.

· Monitor key performance metrics such as on-time delivery (OTD), schedule adherence, and production efficiency.

· Lead efforts to reduce lead times, optimize inventory levels, and improve scheduling accuracy.

· Ensure compliance with AS9100 and aerospace industry requirements related to planning and production control.

Qualifications & Skills:

· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

· 3 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or materials management, preferably in aerospace machining or precision manufacturing.

· Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (experience with E2 ERP is highly preferred).

· Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows, lead times, and capacity planning.

· Experience working with machine shops, machining processes, and material procurement.

· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to react quickly to changing priorities.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

· APICS/CPIM certification or formal training in production planning and inventory control.

· Experience with AS9100, ITAR compliance, and aerospace material traceability requirements.

· Knowledge of lean manufacturing and supply chain optimization methodologies.

· Previous experience in a smaller, high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
