What You Will Do
- Manages the construction submittal process for assigned projects to ensure contract compliance and expedited reviews and approvals by all parties.
- Ensures that project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and support overall construction schedule.
- Provides technical support for construction efforts.
- Administers project engineering procedures and controlling documents.
- Communicates with owner and AE as necessary.
- Manages weekly coordination calls between home office, site and A/E.
- Responds to inquiries from the project site and procurement coordinators, researching issues and escalating to appropriate parties as needed.
- Assist and coordinates with the design coordinator as-needed on design issues or related issues.
- Assists the design coordinator during the design development and IDR process with the owner as needed.
- Ensures that project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and supports overall construction schedule.
- Provides technical support for construction efforts.
- Assists in the development of proposals and change orders for the implementation of contract changes with the owner, vendors and subcontractors.
- Communicates frequently with owner and architect/engineering firms.
- Leads the administrative assistants and document control specialists.
- Coordinates buy-out reports and bi-weekly meetings with the procurement group to ensure all materials and equipment are procured and shipped timely to meet the project schedule.
- Verifies all submittals are correct, including product comparisons for all product substitutions, variances, deviations, etc.
- Conducts weekly calls with the AE to coordinate and expedite submittals, RFDCs, RFI responses, etc.
- Coordinates ROS (receive on site) dates with procurement, shipping/logistics and jobsite.
- Assist with the development of the project schedule to include proper cost loading, procurement and submittal dates.
- Coordinates all project close-out requirements with assigned projects including as-builts, LEED documentation for certification, commissioning documentation, product warranty information, WOW, spare parts and change orders.
- Coordinates all design issues, RFDCs, RFIs, etc., with the design/build coordinator to ensure proper clarification and compliance with contract requirements is maintained throughout construction.

Education / Experience - Minimum high school diploma/GED and five years total construction management experience required. Four-year degree in building science, construction management or engineering and two years total construction management experience preferred.
Certifications, Licenses, etc.: - (Should be able to submit certifications upon request and obtain a medical clearance before deployment) Current clearance, or the ability to obtain, a Department of Defense minimum secret security clearance required. U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance required.
