Position Description: The assembly team is responsible for the final assembly of complex aerospace parts just prior to shipment to our aerospace customers. This job is highly technical and detailed. Previous experience in aerospace assembly is required. Position Responsibilities:
Assembles products or sub-assemblies according to verbal or written instructions, or by following drawings or diagrams.
Uses hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications using jigs and templates when required.
Positions parts in specified relationship to each other under extremely close tolerance conditions.
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
Notifies management of product discrepancies or equipment malfunctions.
Qualifications: Education and Experience -
~ Must have experience in the aerospace industry.
~ Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
~ Self motivated and works well with others
~ High School Diploma or GED required. Physical Requirements:Must be able to lift, push, pull, carry:
Regularly: Up to 20 lbs
Occasionally: Up to 40 lbs
Lifting assistance required: Over 50 lbs Total Compensation: The base pay actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, and experience and take into account internal equity.
