Position:Credit Analyst Intern(Summer 2024)
Organizational Location: Houston, TX; Atlanta, GA
What the role is
Introduces students to the various processes involved in underwriting and servicing commercial loans. Mentoring relationships with Cadence leaders, "Meet & Greets" featuring guest speakers and team-building activities provide important engagement opportunities while simultaneously allowing participants to make valuable contributions to the bank and the communities we serve.This is an on-site position.
- Participate in credit underwriting training including readings, exercises, and review sessions.
- Participate in business skills training including review sessions, exercises and presentations.
- Participate in question and answer sessions with Senior Loan Committee including reviewing credit packages ahead of time.
- Performs other duties as required.
- The program runs from June 5 -- July 28, 2024.
- Positions are available in Houston, Texas and Atlanta, Georgia.
Required Skills:
- 3.0 or higher GPA
- Plan to take a minimum of 9 hours of accounting including intermediate before graduation
- Strong technical and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated leadership through extracurricular activities and internship/work experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Basic proficiency using Microsoft Office applications to include Word and Excel, as well as other database application systems
Education:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline with one year or less before graduation.
