We are hiring an experienced, compassionate, and dedicated LVN/LPN/RN Health and Wellness Director for our brand-new, premier senior living community, Cadence Broomfield by Cogir.
The Health and Wellness Director (LPN/LVN/RN) is an integral member of the management team and works closely with the Executive Director to ensure the health and wellness of our residents, performing initial and ongoing assessments and observation of our residents' physical and psycho-social needs, while coordinating with other departments to assure the highest quality of care. They interact directly with employees, residents, resident family members, vendors, and professional contacts within the community. They provide training, supervision, and coaching of the clinical team while helping build a positive and energetic atmosphere within the community and ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, regulations, and company policies.

What will you do as the Health and Wellness Director?
- Foster a resident-centered approach to the planning and delivering of services to residents, supporting residents' rights to participate in decision-making, and treating residents with dignity and respect.
- Assess residents' health, functional, and psychosocial status, initiate individualized service plans, proactively manage care and services for each resident, and maximize their opportunity to remain in the assisted living or memory care environment.
- Establish and maintain the medication program.
- Oversee all hiring, promotions, disciplinary actions, and termination of employment of licensed nursing staff (LPN/LVN), Med Techs/CMA/CNAs, and all Care staff.
- Hands-on training, supervision, and staff development.
- Communicate regularly with residents' families regarding health care needs.
- Maintain current departmental policies, procedures, and licenses, following company, Federal, State, and local requirements.
- Ensure resident records and charting are current and up to date.
- Participate in the marketing efforts of the management team by representing the community positively to outside agencies.
If you have these qualifications, we'd love to chat:
- Positive team player mentality and passion for serving seniors!
- LVN/LPN or RN nursing license in good standing.
- Minimum of 4 years working in geriatric nursing, including experience with medication administration, delivery systems, and pharmacies.
- Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory/management role; experience with budgets, staff development, training, and scheduling.
- An associate degree or higher is required; additional coursework in management is an asset.
- Experience in Memory Care is preferred.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Proficient computer literacy and good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Maintains current state-required certifications, like First Aid, CPR, and others.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends, holidays, and overtime, to meet the position's requirements.
- Capacity to be on-call 24/7.
- Meet all mandatory health requirements according to state regulations.
- Has compassion and a special interest in working with the senior population and individuals living with memory loss.
