ACCOUNTANT
InnoFi is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and supporting the finance team in maintaining the financial health of the company. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the efficiency and accuracy of our operations while working in a technology-forward and people-first environment.
Responsibilities
As the Accountant, you will:
- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and other financial statements on a monthly basis.
- Process payroll, track employee expenses, and manage reimbursements.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and internal controls.
- Support the preparation for audits by providing necessary documentation.
- Collaborate with the finance team in budgeting and financial forecasting.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- At least 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with payroll processing and tax regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice to Have’s
- Experience in the financial services or auto finance industry.
- Familiarity with loan receivable management or auto loan accounting.
- Experience with financial planning and forecasting.
- Knowledge of industry-specific software and tools.
