As a Cost Accountant, you will aid in the acquisition process of new, company-wide construction projects. You will assist our construction and accounting leadership teams in performing cost accounting procedures, including the research and analysis of up-and-coming development projects and corresponding budgets. The right candidate will possess an aptitude for numbers, be extremely detail-oriented, practice meticulous accounting methods and procedures, and be an excellent communicator.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Document and maintain appropriate financial records of project job costs, transaction activity and balances
- Perform financial statement analysis, and offer comments on any variances
- Perform account reconciliations
- Prepare month-end closings, balance sheet presentations and income statement findings
- Serve as point of contact from our suppliers and vendors, partners, investors and owners
- Ensure and maintain financial compliance with local state and federal government regulations
- 1-2 years Accounting experience - Real Estate or Construction industry a major plus!
- Proficiency in Excel
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or similar discipline)
- Attention to detail and a love for learning
