General Scope of Responsibility:
Assist the Production Control Supervisor and Materials Manager and to schedule machines, assist shipping with deliveries, help in keeping accurate inventories, and supporting the customers through support and service.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Assist the Production Control Supervisor with the control of inventories: Perform inventory adjustments throughout the month as needed, Perform cycle counts as needed as well as an annual cycle count.
- Support the customer by being one of the main contacts for the resolution of customer related issues (releases, breakpoints, etc.).
- Responds to Ford’s Quarterly Purchase Parts Capacity reviews.
- Reviews customer releases weekly in PRP (Productions Requirements Planning) and verifies all RCP orders are accurate and resolves as necessary. Enters jobs into ERP.
- Reviews raw materials requirements to meet production needs in MRP Materials Requirement Planning via EDI & Manually faxed releases. Checks intercompany plant order requirements and confirms prototype orders.
- Issues Raw Material Releases to Suppliers.

Schedules Productions Machines:
- Set breakpoints with Supervisor when new engineering change level occurs.
- Keep machine matrixes updated.
- Maintain and monitor returnable container inventories and takes action as needed.
- Completes Customer’s Required Capacity Studies.
- Performs daily review & update the reinspection needs.
- Answers the monthly 4M (Man Machine Material Method) Survey for Nissan.
- Answers Chrysler volume variance requests.
- Maintains and updates plant contact information for customers within their portals.
- Supports the functions of Shipping and Receiving, as needed.
- Participate in mandatory staff meetings, training and other meetings, as required.

Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office environment, but requires some work to be done within the manufacturing plant. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This is a typical industrial environment utilizing moderately heavy equipment. The work environment at times can be dirty, hot, cold, dusty, noisy, but is generally thought to be good. Workers may be exposed to hazards typically found within a manufacturing environment. We take great pride in our safe environment. This plant operates with strict safety rules and all staff must maintain a high degree of care necessary to avoid serious injury.
WORK SCHEDULE:
This position will primarily work during normal office hours Monday – Friday. Overtime will be required.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Work Experience, etc.):
Minimum [Must have to be considered for the position]:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience using computers (Microsoft Office and ERP system).
- Must be able to work well under pressure and with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communications skills both written and verbal.
- Good planning and organizational skills.
- Good basic math skills.
- Strong drive and adaptability.
- Work overtime as required.

Physical Demands
The employee is frequently required to sit, stand and walk; occasionally required to climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, lift office products and supplies, and bend, stand and walk as necessary. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Possess detailed observation skills. Must be able to concentrate continuously on task.
